Man maybe this doomer bullshit fake news isn't a viable business model. 5 comments? 6 likes? 11 interactions? What is that, 1/28 of a Tim's double double? Great work guys, the market is clearly begging for more hard-hitting hogwash.

Eli, Eli, Eli- yes I am saying that safe supply is not poisoned. The illicit dealer-made supply is- those are toxic. Safe supply is what you would get prescribed. My mind is intact; please put yours into a gear- any gear. Google the BC Police report of late that says there is no widespread problem with diversion. Maybe call the police and ask them how prevalent hydromorphone uses is amongst teens. I don't think you do understand much about addiction or MSTH. I suggest some additional reading- may be from the Mayo Clinic's site or "Chasing the Scream"- J. Hari. BTW- our loved ones rarely live long enough to overdose 30x- one dose of a toxic drug kills. That's poison- safe supply is not. How long do you think that people have been saying, "get off the drugs"? How's is it working? It is not- neither jail nor forced treatment works. Not much point in me telling you what works as you just do not want to know.

According to the CMA, there are over 11,000 physicians in BC. 72 represents .65% of BC Physicians, so not a "vast majority of physicians" are represented by Dr. Mallet's concerns.

Dr. Mallet states that there are no studies on safer supply that indicated it is an effective strategy. Anecdotal information from users of safe supply who say that safe supply is helping them, can not be considered as valid research. Fair enough. However, Dr. Mallet then straight up ask us to believe anecdotal information that he presents. He states that "dillies"[dilaudid- used for safer supply] are being accessed by the youth population and are fueling new addictions. He offers no proof for this. Then regarding diversion of safe supply, he states that," just because no one’s collecting the data, it doesn’t mean that it’s not happening." By this logic, one could also project that just because there is limited data on the effectiveness of safe supply, does not mean it is not working, and saving lives. This is the crucial point being missed. 49 British Columbians die every week by purchasing and using drugs from the toxic street drug stream. Does safe supply need to be improved and evaluated? Most certainly but it is a mistake to assume that more harm than good is occurring. Safe supply refers to replacing toxic drug use with drugs which are not toxic. Many of us who have lost our loved ones to overdose, wish they had an opportunity to try safer supply.. Many of us also believe that our loved one might be here now had they had the option of safer supply. One can only fight addiction if you are alive to do so.

So you saying that the opioids that are “safe supply” are not toxic

Have you lost your mind ??

That’s the most dangerous thing I’ve heard on the Internet today so far

I really hope the teenagers that are contemplating trying a “safe dillie”

Aren’t fuking reading this bullshit

I lcannot believe you actually said the drugs they administer are non toxic

I understand you and your “moms stop the harm group” are just trying to keep your family member from overdosing for the 30th time

But maybe consider that the only way to “stop the harm “ is to get off the drugs instead of giving them fukkng medical grade heroin

Idiots !!!!
