Women have been improving on almost every dimension socioeconomically; that is a fantastic thing. Society didn't have to trade men's success and wellbeing for it, though. We doubled down and while their identities as breadwinners and protectors were fading (wth no plan for what it could become), society labels them predatory and toxic. Jesus. No wonder they want to nod off with Fentanyl. Or try to become a woman.

So true and so sad. My husband and I have a construction company and do our best to support and elevate every employee who wants to give us a go. But man oh man it rarely works out. They come broken, and nothing we do can help and they end up leaving and imploding. We've seen in play out like that for a decade. It's everywhere and with little or no investment made during the formative years, all these struggling souls are set loose in the world, and frankly they're not equipped for it. Thank you for the article.
